Francis Nicdao Shares Cocktail Recipe for Housing Works’ Design on A Dime
Design on a Dime showcases top designers creating stunning room vignettes using donated furniture and décor items. Hosted by Housing Works, a nonprofit organization fighting AIDS and homelessness, the event aims to raise funds for their charitable initiatives through the sale of these designer-decorated items. Attendees have the opportunity to shop these one-of-a-kind creations while supporting a worthy cause. The event combines creativity, philanthropy, and shopping for a unique and impactful experience in the interior design world.

This year, Francis Nicdao, Principal & Chief Creative Officer, was a contributor to AAPI Design Alliance‘s installation. Designer Tina Ramchandani created a home cocktail lounge with a year of the dragon color palette, featuring drawings by Naomi Otsu. We are honored to be of the selected few who contributed a cocktail recipe to be showcased around the space.

My Spicy Filipino Margarita
2 ounces of good Tequila
¾ ounce of Calamansi Juice, in lieu of lime- fresh if possible!
½ ounce of Triple Sec
½ ounce of Tamarind Syrup
½ ounce of Agave
1 Jalapeno, sliced thin
Tajin to rim your glass
“Calamansi is Filipino lime. It’s much smaller and tastes like a combination of lemon, lime, and orange. I prefer to serve this drink straight up into a chilled glass.” -Francis Nicdao
