Pembrooke & Ives is proud to announce its latest collaboration with Chesneys, a celebrated English brand renowned for its exceptional fireplaces and premiere stonework. This new partnership marks the second time the two companies have come together to blend their shared appreciation for heritage and remarkable design.

“Our relationship with Chesneys has always been about mutual respect for craftsmanship and timelessness. They’re deeply conscious of tradition but have a modern sensibility that aligns with our aesthetic.”
— Francis Nicdao, Principal & Chief Creative Officer

The Empire

The Empire marries the subtlety of limestone with the allure of metal in a sleek, Art-Deco inspired profile. Available in both Classico and Anatolian Grey limestone, the design features waves and ridges that capture light and shadow. The Empire offers an alternate design option to add intricately carved corner detailing that speak further to its Art-Deco origins.

The Mercury

Modern in form, organic in finish, the Mercury delivers an avant-garde edge to any design scheme. Signature curved edges offer softness to the stone frame, creating a pillow-like illusion, while antique brass forms are integrated into an unfilled Ivory Travertine body to achieve a deluxe Retro futuristic aesthetic.

A key challenge in the design process was balancing creativity with the practicalities of fabrication. “We tend to design big, bold pieces, and Chesneys helped us figure out how to engineer them in a way that could be reproduced and shipped efficiently,” Francis shares. The collaboration process was as much about creative exploration as it was about fine-tuning the technical details.

The silhouettes were inspired by art deco and modern design motifs present in many of our projects worldwide. Versatile enough to fit any environment, each piece is crafted with a careful selection of stone materials, ranging from light, luminous stone to deeper, more dramatic hues, ensuring they complement a wide range of interiors. Thoughtful details, like the brass plate at the base, introduce a unique, tactile element, grounding the design with an added layer of sophistication.

Francis Nicdao will join Chesneys for an exclusive panel event on October 9th for the D&D Building’s Fall Market event.
